Daikozenji Temple

Located in Kiyama Town, Saga Prefecture, Daikozenji Temple is a historic site established in 717 AD by the revered monk Gyoki, who enshrined the Eleven-Faced Kannon. With its centuries-old legacy and breathtaking seasonal beauty, the temple offers visitors a peaceful and reflective retreat.

A Temple Adorned with Seasonal Blossoms

Renowned as a "Temple of Flowers," Daikozenji is especially celebrated for its azaleas in spring and autumn foliage. In the "Chigirien" garden, approximately 50,000 azalea plants burst into vibrant colors, offering a mesmerizing spectacle. Come autumn, the temple grounds are enveloped in crimson hues, with the thatched-roof main hall providing a picturesque backdrop.
