REDEE Kitakyushu Field Trip

Based on the “Future Human Resources Vision” released by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2022, the landscape of education is poised for significant change.

To create spaces where children can acquire knowledge outside of schools and homes, there is a growing need for diverse, individualized goals and a wide range of educational materials.

REDEE Kitakyushu provides such a “third place for learning.”

Open to all students, it offers opportunities to enjoyably learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) conceptsthrough hands-on experiences with ICT—such as the metaverse and drones—as well as through the production of esports events.

New Learning Experiences Using Games and Esports

Video games are a form of entertainment that incorporates many cutting-edge technologies. Through games, children can learn about programming—an essential component of STEM education—as well as graphic technologies and how computers work. REDEE Kitakyushu’s content helps transform children’s curiosity into a desire to learn.

Identifying employment opportunities, career education

By the time today’s children become adults, new professions such as “YouTuber” and “professional gamer” will be commonplace. At REDEE Kitakyushu, experiencing these “dream jobs” firsthand provides an opportunity to start thinking about their future careers.

The ability to think logically and solve problems

REDEE Kitakyushu’s “workshops” are not tests with predetermined answers. They are designed to help you develop the ability to think independently, communicate with peers, and create something new. We encourage you to acquire skills that will be useful in a wide range of situations, including communication and problem-solving.
