Wine loved by locals - Experience a fresh taste at the Budounoki Winery in Okagaki

A Vineyard Dream Rooted in Okagaki

Budounoki Group, which stands in Okagaki Town, Onga County, once started as a beach house and has now grown into a local resort brand with restaurants, lodging, and wedding business. And in November 2021, Okagaki's first full-scale winery using grapes from its own vineyard was born here.

Freshness in Every Sip through Gentle, Cold-Fermentation

Budounoki Winery applies cold fermentation techniques and minimizes heating or filtration to preserve the pure aroma and fruit-forward flavors of their grapes. Drawing on expertise acquired both domestically and overseas, they’ve crafted wines that are fresh, aromatic, and elegantly balanced.

A Tasting & Retail Space with Over 80 Wines

Their onsite shop offers tastings of freshly pressed original wines, alongside a curated selection of over 80 esteemed wines from around the world. Complementing these are carefully chosen pairings—artisan cheeses and in-house smoked delicacies—for a thoroughly immersive experience . Visitors can also join guided winery tours (reservations required at least one week in advance) to explore the vinification process firsthand .

A new tourist base where the dreams of three generations of families are woven together

Budounoki Winery stands as a testament to local production and the culmination of a three-generation family dream. Whether you’re sampling wines, shopping for souvenirs, or seeing behind the scenes on a tour, this winery offers a uniquely memorable stop. As a new cultural landmark along the tourist trail, it leaves a lasting impression for all who visit.
