JICA Kyushu

Learn about international cooperation in Kitakyushu!

JICA Kyushu collaborates with local governments, universities, NGOs, and private companies to carry out a wide range of initiatives related to the SDGs, including programs that host trainees from around the world and provide technical assistance to developing countries. We also offer programs designed to help local residents deepen their understanding of international cooperation and global affairs.

Let’s learn about little-known facts from around the world!

Staff with experience in international cooperation will provide clear explanations of exhibits focusing on developing countries and international cooperation.

In addition, the library offers a wide selection of books, materials, and educational resources on international cooperation and overseas topics.

Discover the world’s culinary cultures at JICAFe

At “Jai Cafe,” an open-air terrace with a view of the greenery, you can enjoy a rotating selection of international cuisine from Asia, Africa, and other regions. Additionally, when you purchase a “TABLE FOR TWO” menu item, 20 yen per meal (equivalent to one school lunch in a developing country) will be donated to the program. Let’s think about the world through our meals.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Learn About the SDGs and the JICA Volunteers (60 minutes)

We offer workshops to explore the SDGs, as well as presentations by former JICA volunteers who have worked in developing countries, introducing the cultures and activities of those nations. These opportunities not only help participants learn about global challenges but can also serve as a valuable career education experience for thinking about their future.

Museum Tour (30 minutes)

We toured the museum’s exhibits, which cover a variety of themes and provide insight into the current situation and challenges facing developing countries, as well as the library, where visitors can find books on international cooperation.
