MIRAI CONVENIENCE STORE

A place that connects the community with the future

Located in the Kito area of Naka Town, Tokushima Prefecture, MIRAI CONVENIENCE STORE opened in 2020. Known for its branding as “the most beautiful convenience store in the world,” the facility was designed by Keisuke Unosawa and the architecture was handled by KOKUYO Co., Ltd. Despite being situated in a mountainous, nature-rich area far from urban centers, it has attracted attention from both inside and outside Japan.

Winner of 11 prestigious international design awards

The building’s striking appearance harmonizes with its natural surroundings.
Its architecture, interior, and landscape were designed as an integrated whole, earning the facility a total of 11 prestigious design awards, including internationally recognized accolades.
With its distinctive and refined design, the store itself has become a new local landmark that captures the attention of all who pass by.

A thoughtfully curated space to experience local charm

In addition to the shop, the facility includes a cozy café space.
Here, visitors can find local specialties and processed goods unique to the region.
The interior space, which complements the beauty of the architecture, offers a relaxing atmosphere where guests can take their time and enjoy the essence of the local culture.

A place created for smiles and the future of children

MIRAI CONVENIENCE STORE is based on the concept that “children are visitors from the future.” This idea reflects a deep desire to bring smiles to the faces of local residents and to support the children who will shape the future.
It is more than a convenience store—it's a place for people to meet, connect, and share.
By offering opportunities to encounter various cultures and values, the facility supports the next generation in imagining and creating their own future.

A quiet space to rediscover true richness

Nestled in the natural beauty of Kito in Naka Town, this facility is not about extravagance but about offering moments of peace and depth.
Even though it is far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it provides visitors with a chance to experience the richness that arises from nature, people, and time.
A visit here may leave something meaningful in your heart—something that stays with you long after your journey ends.
