Chikujyou Town's Makinoharu Campground is located on a lushly green plateau. This campground is rich in nature and has been selected as one of the 100 best places for forest bathing in Fukuoka Prefecture. With both small and large bungalows, it is perfect for small groups of family and friends, as well as large groups such as clubs and children's groups. Tent sites will open in 2022, allowing visitors to stay in tents to enjoy nature to the fullest.

Local Market ‘Makochi no Sato’

The campground also has a local products shop called “Makochi no Sato.” It sells locally grown vegetables, snacks, and other food products, as well as camping supplies such as firewood and charcoal. BBQ grills and other equipment are also available for rent, while fishing rods and other items can be purchased at the shop.

Summer invites river play shaded under tarps. Autumn paints the hillsides in warm foliage, and winter brings crisp skies ideal for stargazing around a campfire. Walk the grounds to spot forest birds or simply take in the fresh air.
