Supporting society and daily life through a stable power supply

This is Kyushu Electric Power’s first LNG-fired power plant, and it delivers a stable supply of electricity to homes and factories throughout the region.

The plant features two generating units, each with a capacity of 600,000 kW, for a total output of 1,200,000 kW.

The site covers an area of 400,000 square meters (approximately 5.8 times the size of Fukuoka Dome), and more than 25% of the site has been landscaped to create a lush, green environment.

Highlights

A video presentation explains how electricity is generated, and visitors can tour the facility to see turbines and generators in operation, as well as the highly automated central control room.
